Thank you for signing the pledge (Step One) to help stop plastic pollution by joining Maya’s Plastic Pollution Campaign.
Here is your Campaign Kit to help you start your PLU collection. Maya and Friends of the Earth will send you up-dates on the campaign.
We’re excited to work with you!
Print the campaign album cover & start collecting your PLUs through March and April 2023.
PLU sticker album cover page + cover letter (PDF)
Stick each PLU on your album cover page and add blank sheets to your album as needed. Save paper by using recycled paper where you can for your album sheets. Count how many PLUs you have collected and report the number on your Album cover. You can continue collecting your PLUs through the months of March and April. Send your album of collected PLU stickers to your Member of Parliament at the end of April and before May 7, 2023.
Send your album of collected PLU stickers and cover letter to your Member of Parliament (MP) between April 17 and May 7, 2023.
You can find your MP’s name and their local office address by simply entering your postal code here https://www.ourcommons.ca/members/en.
You can send postage-free mail to any Member of Parliament at the following address:

You can also deliver your album of stickers to your MP’s local office or even make an appointment with her/him to present your collection and explain why a ban of PLUs is necessary.
Step Four – Share your results with Maya and Friends of the Earth
Remember to send your results to Maya and Friends of the Earth – send us an email that includes the number of PLU stickers collected and the name of your Member of Parliament or you can take a photo of your album cover and email it to foe@foecanada.org.
You can also post a comment or photo of your resultsd to one of our social media channels with the hashtags #MayaAgainstPlasticPollution and #ExpandtheBan.
