It’s time to ban imidacloprid

The comment period on imidacloprid has ended – thank you to everyone who sent their letter and helped to demand an immediate ban!

We just had a great victory on neonics, but as we told you there’s still work to do.

Health Canada has agreed that bee-killing imidacloprid, thiamethoxam and clothianidin should be banned.

BUT not for three to five years – that’s not a ban that’s a bailout for the pesticide industry.

The regulations require Health Canada to receive public comment on it’s proposed five year phase out plans. The comment period on imidacloprid ends in five days.

We can’t let this go unchallenged – will you demand an immediate ban today?
