The #BeeCause campaign delivered wins for bees — and all of us — in 2016 because we worked together.

But there’s still a lot to do: changing how pesticides are regulated, creating more bee-safe habitats, insisting on neonic-free plants at garden centres and more.

Two-thirds of the food crops humans eat everyday require bees and other pollinators to successfully produce a crop. However – the health and productivity of honeybees, bumble bees, and other pollinators are in great peril, and populations are dwindling worldwide.

Although honey bee losses have been linked to multiple factors, a strong and growing body of scientific evidence has shown that the use of neonicotinoid pesticides are a major contributing factor to bee decline. Habitat loss, climate change and disease are also important stressors on managed and wild bees.

Please help Friends of the Earth continue to work on several fronts to save the bees – your generous donation, whatever you can give, will help to continue the Bee Cause campaign.

We can show you the “wins” but we need to keep the heat on – will you help?
